Quran Contest for People with Disabilities Wraps Up in Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A mosque in Saudi Arabia’s Ha’il region hosted the closing ceremony of a Quran competition for people with disabilities.

A number of local officials as well as those from the ministry of Islamic affairs, Dawah, and guidance attended the ceremony at Rajihi grand mosque.

The competition was organized by the Disabled Society in Ha’il region with support from Al-Ajimi Charity Foundation, the head of the society’s board of directors said in an address.

He added that the contest was aimed at identifying talents in Quran memorization and recitation among the disabled in the region.

Winners of the competition as well as members of the panel of judges were honored at the ceremony.

The officials of the ministry of Islamic affairs, Dawah, and guidance also appreciated those who held and supported the Quranic event.
